To the world: Chinese tourists is coming. Are you ready?

Chinese tourists have a longer vacation this year and we're going to travel, as always. China has been the world’s No.1 source of cross-border tourists since 2012, according to the World Tourism Organization. You may see Chinese travelers have got lots of shopping in Hong Kong, Thailand, Macau, South Korea and Japan. Chinese outbound travelers spent a total of $129 billion in 2013, the organization said.

But amid the boom, Chinese tourists have triggered controversy with reports of bad behavior. And now Chinese tourist have been reminded by overseas embassies to behave well and respect local laws, regulations and customes since it's tourist season again.

The Chinese embassy in Canada reminds Chinese tourists visiting the country to dress well, avoid loud arguments and to regrain from drawing graffiti. (Wait a minute, dress well? What do they usually dress when not well?) The Chinese embassy in Thailand said that anyone traveling overseas with a condescending attitude would "ruin their own image".

In April, the China National Tourism Administration started to keep record of bad behavior, according to China Daily.

For outbound traveler, it's the bad behaviors they should be warned of. But in the country the volume of tourists during the National Day holiday, also known as Golden Week, will be a challege for many scenic spots. The Forbidden City, for example, released a statement, saying that it will not lift the cap on the number of daily visitors.
